Desmond John Brennan b.1945 The Basin, Rottnest, 1986 Watercolour Signed and dated ’86 lower right 46 x 48 cm Illustrated, cover, ‘Impressions of Rottnest Island’. A collaboration between Brennan and the Des Sullivan Foundation. Set up to fund environmental projects for Rottnest Island. The 1987 exhibition was a great success for the artist. The entire collection was purchased by the late Laurie Connell. It established Brennan as a sought after artist at the time.
