The Three Steps of Selling at Auction with McKenzies

Assessment

McKenzies will auction items such as fine art, jewellery, watches, collectables, furniture or luxury goods.

Simply email a few photos and details of the item/s you’d like enter into auction to and one of our specialists will be in touch to advise if they are suitable for our auctions and provide an auction estimate (an amount you can expect the item to sell for at auction).

All jewellery will need to be inspected in person before an auction estimate can be provided, please email jewellery@mckenziesauctioneers.com.au to make an appointment or phone (08) 9385 4180.

McKenzies also conducts on-site inspections for large collections.

Consignment

Once the relevant staff member has provided an auction estimate they will recommend an auction reserve.  Upon agreement, a consignment form is completed and the item/s are entered into the next suitable auction.

Fees are 13% to 22% depending upon the value of the items.

Payment to Sellers

As per the auction agreement payment is made to you within 45 days of the date of sale. This is to allow adequate time for the collection of buyer payments, distribution of items and administrative process. Payments are made via direct bank transfer so please ensure you have provided your specialist with the correct banking details.
