This rare early 20th century item is composed of a large approximate 12.52CT square emerald-cut emerald with step cut back facets and having a transparent, bright medium to strong green colour 13.64 x 12.94 x 10.83 mm. Probable Colombian origin. Would recommend a lab report to confirm. Surrounding the large emerald are 22= 2.15CT transitional round-cut Diamonds all rub set with millgrain edging. Articulated below this emerald are a row of 5= 0.0.35CT transitional round-cut Diamond all rub set with millgrain edging and a 3.28CT emerald-cut emerald with transparent, bright medium to strong green colour also, probable Colombian origin. Surrounding the smaller emerald are 16=1.30CT transitional round-cut Diamonds, all rub set with millgrain edging. Skillfully hand crafted in 18ct yellow gold and platinum and fitted with a fine 18ct white gold chain. The total weght of the pendant 15.5 grams. Some provenence to the Pendant: Proported to be manufactured in the USA around the mid 1920s. Believed to have been carried to Australia in the 1940s by a US army officer and given to a colourful Perth identity. Pendant is accompanied by a silver frame and fitted box.
