Catalogued by former employee, Jason Benardout who flew over from his now home, Adelaide. It was an ’emergency’ job that had to be done quickly. Items were catalogued within a few days and then freighted to McKenzies for display and sale.
Lot 45, a Pietra Dura topped small table, sold the best, percentage-wise. Achieving five times its lower estimate, at $2,000 (Hammer Price). Lot 49, a French four-door sideboard sold at $1,700 (H.P.), showing a healthy market for useable items. Lot 23, a pair of leather tub (or Club) chairs achieved $1,500 (H.P.). All in all, an expedient way to move a bulk of items quickly.
